The Astor Presents Enticing “Tropical Fanta-SEA” Buffet
Over 200 Delectable Hot Dishes and Desserts
The Astor at Eaton HK is inviting Hong Kong’s gourmands to indulge in a series of sumptuous feasts from 19th February. Presenting a new buffet inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asia to ensure that diners celebrate the occasions in style. From 19 February, The Astor’s “Tropical Fanta-SEA” buffet will transport guests on a gastronomic tour of Southeast Asia and beyond with a delectable offering of more than 200 items that includes hot and cold dishes as well as live cooking stations. Leading the culinary charge is the Asian Live Station where diners will find freshly-made favorites from across the region, including Boston Lobster, Grilled Shrimp Lemongrass, Sambal Grilled Fish in Banana Leaf, and an assortment of Thai Street Food. These made-to-order dishes are complemented by ready-made Asian dishes including Miên Xào Cua (Vietnamese Stir-Fried Crab with Glass Noodles), Pla Neung Manao (Thai Steamed Fish with Lime and Garlic), Seafood Pad Thai, Beef Rendang, and Korean Fried Chicken.

The opulent “Tropical Fanta-SEA” buffet will be supplemented by perennial favorites from the Chinese, Western, and Cold Salad station. Guests will relish stating their appetites on classics such as Dim Sum, Kung Pao Prawns, Typhoon Shelter Crab Claw and Honey Garlic Pork Ribs from the Chinese section, a mix of cold salads including a Five Spice Beef Shin, Russian Salad, and Pasta Primavera.

In addition, throughout the buffet family and friends can enjoy Asian Beef Tartare from the Chinese Live Station, mixing with specially made sauce inspired by Southeast Asia.

At the Western station, guests will be able to take their pick from the Live Carving Station, which features everything from Roast Australian Chuck Roll with Gravy, Italian Pork Belly Porchetta, Chicken Ballotine with Shrimp Paste and a series of indulgent hot dishes such as Red Wine Braised Beef Brisket and Seafood Bouillabaisse, featuring a range of premium seafood, from mussels to crab legs and more.

The edible tour of Asia continues with stations dedicated and exquisite renderings of popular snacks and dishes from Japan and India. Celebrating the full breadth of Japanese cuisine, the
Japan station features a wealth of Tempura, Sashimi and Robatayaki snacks, as well as several Udon and Soba dishes featuring Tofu Skin, Narutomaki, Chikuwa, or Kamaboko.

Diners will particularly delight in the Sushi offerings, which include exclusive ingredients such as Salmon Belly, Spicy Tuna, Tamago, and Mantis Shrimp.
