Came for Taco Tuesday and had a terrible experience. As a vegetarian they wouldn’t accommodate for me. They had a taco platter which was the best value for money giving you x5 tacos. However, this was for meat tacos only. When I told them I was vegetarian they said they could not give me a vegetarian platter and I had to choose x2 or x3 taco deal which was more expensive. The server was rude and not understanding. When I asked if I could speak with the manager she said she was the manager. I would not recommend to anybody to come here for food. Absolutely disgusting service. Horrible service and not vegetarian friendly

Worst experience: misleading restaurant with bad service We tried to get the window seat by booking online with the remark. They claimed they have called us to confirm that window seat is not available but we had never received any call from them. That was weird but ok as the window seat was not the deal breaker to us in the first place. Once we are seated, it took them forever to place the order. (They changed a few people to serve us but never take the order) Then when I asked about the buy 1 get 1 free deal for drink, I were told that it is buy 1 get 1 free and free the lowest price of THAT set if we pick different drinks. The food was average and nothing worth to mention. We ordered 2 sets of drinks and expected 2 set of buy 1 get 1 free drinking pair. But when we tried to settle the bill, we then found that only the cheapest drinks were waived after the service charge. We tried to ask why it was the case. Instead of explaining, they accused us that they told us in the first place. It was not about the money but the shxty attitude. First of all, we were not told that way and were mislead. And even when we asked, we were being accused. I am writhing here to let everyone know that intentional misleading deal with the worst customer service. And if you decide to have that, please go ahead and be my guest.

We ordered chicken roulade which was quite impressive for the price point. The chicken is skillfully rolled and stuffed with a savory filling, likely containing ingredients like breadcrumbs, herbs, and cheese. The resulting roulade is moist and flavorful throughout. There is a hidden restaurant on Nathan Road that specializes in fusion western food and will transform into a bar with a full atmosphere at around 9pm. The waiting area at the entrance of the restaurant, the corridor, the dining area, the outdoor area and even the toilet are check-in areas. Use pink neon lights as the main tone and adopt a semi-Continental design. Although it seems to have nothing to do with the name, this is their characteristic. When you open the menu, you'll find a lot of creative dishes. Even the cocktails are named after China's four beauties or famous painters. Tofu Pork Pork definitely a try. Grilled pork belly, tamagoyaki tofu in the middle layer, caramelized sweet onions in the lower layer, and homemade puree tofu as decoration. Three levels and four tastes. Preserved egg risotto has a smaller preserved egg flavor than expected. Maybe it’s because you want to cater to Western tastes? Basically, except for the preserved egg paste on top, it feels the same as a regular risotto. Personally, I suggest you eat preserved eggs if you call it a favorite. You can make the flavor of preserved eggs bolder. Roasted horsehead fish with standing scales. This one is a fusion of Japanese cooking methods. Pour the boiling oil on the fish scales, and each fish scale will shine brightly. The fish is rich in fat and can be eaten with the homemade assorted green pepper paste to achieve a good balance. and finish the night with the Coconut mousse dessert 🍨

Even on weekdays it's often full and you have to wait for a table. I have eaten the recommended Saitama Grilled Beef Tongue before and it was delicious, so I ordered it again this time. Another favorite is dried mirin fish. I want to try the rainbow roll this time, it's a simple California roll with assorted sashimi. The Flaming Red Dragon Roll is an upgraded version of the Red Dragon Roll: it includes tuna, fried shrimp and cheese. The oily aroma of the thick-cut tuna becomes even more pronounced after it is seared. The crispy fried shrimps are super delicious when paired with cream cheese!

Their Eggs Benedict truly stands out. The poached eggs are always done to perfection, with golden, runny yolks cascading over a generous portion of smoked ham, all atop a freshly baked English muffin. The hollandaise sauce is creamy, lemony, and just the right consistency. Paired with a side of their crispy hash browns, this dish is a fulfilling start to any weekend morning.

The Smoked Salmon Bagel at Fine Print is a real treat. The bagel itself is perfectly toasted, providing a nice crunch with each bite. The cream cheese is thick and creamy, and the smoked salmon is fresh with a rich, smoky flavor that is not overpowering. Topped with capers and red onions, it’s a flavor explosion that’s both satisfying and refined. Perfect for a leisurely brunch!

You have to try the Almond Croissant at Fine Print! It’s absolutely to die for. The croissant itself is flaky and buttery, with a beautiful golden crust that flakes apart the moment you bite into it. The almond filling is sweet, nutty, and generously applied, adding a lovely texture and flavor that complements the pastry perfectly. It’s a luxurious treat with a morning cappuccino or a late afternoon espresso.

It is my first time visiting Nood at Quarrybay (PCCW). I used to going PP and Wan Chai branch for their salad or wrap (which were fantastic). This time I got a voucher and can redeem a smoothie. There’s a variety of choices. The respective protein and calories were found on the big board above counter. Good thing is there is a smaller note at side table showing their ingredients in detail. I decided to go for protein type after a short workout and picked “Breakfast Puff”. The counter was a bit busy during lunch hour and I waited for about 10 minutes. It came with a special design take-way cup. The pinky smoothie tasted a bit “energy drink” (if you know what I mean) probably because of the whey protein but still okay, I can tell the berry and banana inside. The price $80 may sound a bit expensive, but if you are looking for something to boost up protein and energy, I think it is still a good choice. It is too troublesome to buy and store all different ingredients at home and Nood make it fresh instead of pre-mix and bottled. There were a few tables and I managed to get a seat. Pity there’s no salad bar here. Environment not as spacious as Wan Chai, but suffice to have a quick rest.

Stopped by Blue Bottle this morning and decided to try their Single Origin Pour-Over. Let me tell you, it was a delightful experience! The barista was super knowledgeable, explaining the origin of the beans and the flavor profile. Today’s brew was from Ethiopia, and it was incredibly aromatic, with floral notes and a hint of citrus that just danced on the palate. It’s a must-try for coffee aficionados looking for a light, refreshing cup that’s packed with flavor.

It's boiling hot to the table. There were a lot of shark fins and two large pieces of fish maw at the bottom of the bowl, which was enough to taste! My friend's saliva chicken is so spicy and tasty. Also wasabi mixed shredded chicken~ All so appetizing. During lunch, I ordered two cups of soy milk for half price. Weekday afternoon period is full at about 2 o'clock. Come early so you won't have to wait for a seat.

We came here for a celebration dinner. A one star Michelin restaurant would be very nice. Looking forward to super spicy and super numbing sensations, and more sophisticated taste elements. That said, my closest exprience to authentic Sichuan food is the Sichuan govermemt rep office in Beijing, and some good Sichuan restaurants in Beijing and in Hong Kong. The dishes at Fugara tastes nothing like them. But it rings a bell? It is exactly like the Sichuan takeouts in the USA! We went by the recommendations of our waiter. We declined the black truffle chicken, knowing European black truffles have either lost all their taste by the time you get to them In a Hong Kong restaurant, or you will be getting mainland Chinese truffles which has no taste. We also declined the dungeness crab because it was too large for two. The first dish that came out was the egg plants. It was dreadful, sitting in a pool of peanut sauce or sesame sauce. It tastes like it was made with a lot of peanut butter. We stopped debating it because the second dish arrived, the paper thin beef slices that legend has it that you can hold it up to a lamp and see the light cast onto it. It was smothered in a sweet soy based sauce. And the beef slices are considerably thicker for light to pass through, as in other places. But I actually liked this slightly thicker version. A dish of deep dried bitter melon pieces, covered in powdered salted egg yolks arrived. Although recommended, it only now dawned on us that it is not a Sichuan dish. It was nice but other restaurants have them too. But at $300? It is quite steep. At this point we asked our nice waiter over. He tried hard to please customers by engaging them in food conversations. But we said so far we still need to taste authentic Sichuan, and given the eggplants we need to say we don't want the American take out style of Dan Dan noodles. We don't want them bathing in peanut butter sauce or sesame paste sauce. Can he please alert the kitchen.. At this point he said in that case it is much better you guys order another noodle dish. Finally the recommended bone in beef rib arrived. Again there is nothing Sichuan about it and is served in many restaurants across Hong Kong. Even in Bangkok! Compared with others, this dish is not well prepared. The tough piece of beef needs to be slow cooked until it is really tender. I would say another 45 minutes in a slow oven would have done it. May be we should not have followed the recommendations of the waiter for those dishes and go for the Sichuan standard dishes. Well, this is a one star Michelin restaurant and we just thought we should listen to what the waiter recommends as their best dishes. Besides, the Sichuan dishes they have on the menu were all the American stardard one. We also stayed away from their whole fish dishes which costs around 900 dollars but which uses the cheap mandarin fish (桂花魚)。 What was Michelin thinking ? I just checked. Michelin rates and publishes their guide on restaurants in Chengdu. It isn't as if they didn't know this travesty! Very bad show. To be fair, may be it is just false advertisement. They should have made it known they serve the American takeout version of Sichuan dishes. Judging from the large number of favorable comments they definitely have that kind of following. After all, American takeout version of Sichuan dishes must be nostalgic to many. Just not me and not at these prices.

Dropped by Classified for an evening snack and decided on their Cheese Platter. It’s seriously a cheese lover's dream! They offer a well-curated selection of cheeses, ranging from sharp and tangy to creamy and mild, each paired with fruit, nuts, and honey that complement the flavors beautifully. The ambiance of this location, with its chic, relaxed vibe, makes it a fantastic spot for a casual date night or catching up with friends over some wine and cheese.

A sunny afternoon at Repulse Bay calls for a visit to Classified, and their Artisan Coffee is a must. I opted for a latte and was not disappointed. The coffee was rich, smooth, and beautifully crafted, with a delicate art swirled into the foam. Enjoying this while overlooking the beach was truly a peaceful, indulgent experience. This branch has a more laid-back, beachy feel, perfect for unwinding after a stroll along the shore.

On a suggestion from a friend, I tried the Cold Brew at Fine Print, and wow, it did not disappoint! It’s brewed to be strong but incredibly smooth, without the bitterness you sometimes get with cold brews. There’s a subtle chocolatey note that makes it quite addictive. Served over ice, it’s super refreshing and exactly what you need on a hot day to cool down and perk up.
